While we move through summer 2021, there is an element of doubt regarding how Rotary can continue to facilitate those human connections Rotary members have appreciated in the past. While the "hands looking out into space" mantra is undoubtedly part of our daily routine it is clear that the faith in Rotary is growing, and more people are forming contact with each other. Rotary's face has changed. We are still uncertain about the way in which the service we provide to others is going to incorporate the highly appreciated human connection that Rotary Members enjoyed during the previous times. While the traditional 'hands in face space' will undoubtedly be part of our ongoing routine it is apparent that the confidence building is evident and face-to-face reconnections are being made. Rotary has also changed. Rotary is a network that helps build lasting relationships. This has inspired us to enhance our technology practices. Our company is online, but we have also introduced a social and service activity. To create an exciting new future, we've seized these new opportunities and blended them with the most efficient pre-pandemic practices. It was encouraging to learn that 75 percent of Rotary clubs intend to keep their "business regular" activities. In the summer months, many Rotary club members have been seen in public focusing on various projects including river and beach tidy-ups and trash pick-ups. The article is in English. Amanda Watkin is the General Secretary of Rotary Magazine. It was wonderful to learn that during the most recent Rotary survey that 75% of the participants were planning on their regular programs and community-based projects that had previously been helpful to communities throughout Great Britain. As proud as I am that Rotary Centre continues to support the communities of Great Britain and Ireland, Rotary Centre is continuing to help numerous community initiatives which benefit participants of Rotary and ensure their safety, compliance and Insurance are essential. We're extremely proud of the innovative ways our members are able to take on one of the biggest challenges facing our society. Rotary, like so many others has given me a solid network of people with the same values as me and from whom I have made genuine connections in the last 20 years. Let's now all join Rotary and encourage our families, members and friends to become members of the most amazing world-wide network in which you truly are able to make a difference.
