Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the United States and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works for ESPN as an SportsCenter News Anchor. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been for a long time, starting at the age of nine. The ability to speak two languages has helped her get her first job at Univision, Miami. She worked alongside national producers on shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was hired as a reporter by the CBS station to work as a sports journalist. In 2009 she moved from Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as a news reporter for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration drugs, immigration, as well as various other topics on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. She was also the Spanish reporter for the newscast from 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter on the newscast of nine p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and again an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. She was also often asked to fill in as an anchor for weather and sports. She was then anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, younger Collins took a place alongside her elder sister. At the time of her senior year in high school but knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta visited her local University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her requirements. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the major that she desired. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University as a major of media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked over the years, became a friend. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was greatly moved by his passion for journalism.
